Foundry - End User License Agreement & Community Guidelines
Self-authored - not legal advice. Last updated: 2026-06-04
This agreement governs your use of the Foundry mobile and web applications ("Foundry", "the app"). By creating an account or using Foundry, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Foundry.
1. Acceptable use & zero tolerance for objectionable content
Foundry includes user-to-user messaging (one-to-one and group chat). You are responsible for the content you post. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You agree that you will not post, send, or share content that is:
- harassing, bullying, threatening, or that targets a person or group;
- hateful or discriminatory (race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristic);
- sexually explicit, obscene, or pornographic;
- violent, or that incites or threatens violence;
- promoting self-harm or suicide;
- spam, fraudulent, or a scam;
- otherwise unlawful or that infringes another person's rights.
2. Reporting, blocking, and enforcement
- Report. Any user may report a message or another user from within the app (long-press a message, or use the conversation menu).
- Block. Any user may block another user, which stops further direct messaging between you.
- Our commitment. We review reports of objectionable content and act within 24 hours, including removing the content and/or ejecting the offending user (suspending or permanently disabling their account).
- There is no obligation on us to pre-screen content, but we reserve the right to remove any content and to suspend or terminate any account at our discretion.
By using Foundry you acknowledge that you may be exposed to content you find objectionable, and that your sole remedy is to report and/or block it.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Account), which removes your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Subscriptions
Access to Foundry requires a paid subscription or an active sponsored seat provided by a mentor or organization. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage or cancel in your device's store settings.
5. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
Foundry is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for user-generated content or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
